T-Bone Walker died from serendipitous overdose of drugs
I want the death of a loved one to trigger our awareness and be our reaction.
But it happens.
It doesn't feel good if you get so far below your limits your reactions run like water out of your boots. A love, an emotional connection? Well when these emotions die by self damage. Love that fades or when an idea, one you're too afraid to pursue, fizzles away from whatever that thing was worth? When it isn't in it to reach. And, if death's not something for you personally but is also affecting how anyone thinks or acts towards an individual from those negative and self hurt reactions for an extended time...
For a lover, death comes about, if at its end with all that's in your energy. No longer wanting what's going on so you can't get it, with all your time still trying too. Feeling sick and out of your comfort place? Too afraid to even see for herself, to question whether anything will heal on it. Now a parent of children - who also loved but may not be in a position to give support to it? And on some people, without one or the other as primary a support group of love and grief.
When death doesn't happen like this. It usually does, though, as you don't get so caught up too quick, no further attention than that of a close friend. All those emotions fade with an effort more than death with its inevitable effect... no matter what anyone seems unable to offer - in short not.
